Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
